WHY ARE YOUR PRICES HIGHER THAN LARGER PLATFORMS

Crowned Roots Collective operates as an independent, Black-owned business, which means I don’t have the same wholesale negotiating power as large, high-volume art platforms. Bigger companies place massive, consistent orders that allow them to secure lower production costs — a scale that smaller businesses aren’t operating at yet.

To help keep pricing comparable and accessible, I intentionally offer ongoing, permanent deals that reward collecting multiple pieces. The ongoing deals are my way of balancing quality, sustainability, and accessibility while the business continues to grow.

Every piece is made to order using premium materials and professional printing, with pricing that reflects the real cost of production, labor, and care involved. You’re purchasing original artwork created by an independent artist — not mass-produced décor.

As this business grows and order volume becomes more consistent, my goal is to renegotiate production pricing and pass even more savings directly back to my community.

MADE IN AMERICA?

Yes! We produce and print in two U.S.-based production locations—Anaheim, CA and Kentucky. Orders are routed automatically based on availability and production capacity, so while you may live in California, your order could be produced in Kentucky.

RETURN & REFUND POLICY

Crowned Roots Collective produces artwork on demand, meaning each canvas is created specifically for your order. Because of this made-to-order process, items are not stocked or resold.

Before purchasing, we strongly encourage customers to measure their space carefully and review size options thoroughly. If you’re purchasing artwork as a gift and are unsure about size or style, a Crowned Roots Collective gift card offers the most flexibility and confidence.

Return Requests

Return requests for non-defective items may be submitted within 30 days of delivery and are subject to approval.

To be considered, all of the following must be met:

  • The artwork must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging
  • Photos must be submitted to our support team before shipping to verify condition
  • Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer
  • Artwork damaged during return transit due to improper packaging will not be eligible for refund

Approved returns for non-defective items are subject to a 20% production and handling fee, reflecting the custom, made-to-order nature of each piece.

Refund Processing

Once an approved return is received and passes inspection, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 7–10 business days. Processing times may vary by financial institution.

Important Information

  • Prepaid return labels are not provided
  • Delivery confirmation alone does not guarantee refund eligibility
  • Returns that do not meet approval requirements may be refused

EXCHANGE POLICY

Because all Crowned Roots Collective canvases are made to order, we are unable to offer traditional exchanges. We do not operate from a warehouse, and returned artwork cannot be stored or resold once produced.

If an exchange is requested, customers have two options:

  • Return the original item in accordance with our return policy. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility, and a production fee will apply.
  • Keep the original artwork and receive a substantial discount toward a replacement order.

This approach allows us to remain fair while accounting for the made-to-order nature of our products.

To help avoid the need for exchanges, we strongly recommend measuring your space carefully before purchasing. If you are shopping for a gift and are unsure of size or style, a Crowned Roots Collective gift card is the best option and allows the recipient to choose with confidence.

HAND PAINTED OR PRINTED?

All artwork at Crowned Roots Collective is professionally printed, not hand painted. Each piece is produced using high-quality printing methods to ensure consistency, longevity, and visual impact.

Our canvas prints are produced using giclée eco-solvent inkjet printing, a professional process known for exceptional color accuracy and durability. Artwork is printed on thick, archival-grade canvas that is pH-neutral and acid-free, helping prevent yellowing over time. The bright white surface and subtle semi-gloss sheen support rich, vibrant color across a wide tonal range.

Each canvas is carefully hand-stretched over a wooden frame and made to order specifically for your purchase. Our printers are regularly color-calibrated to ensure accurate, consistent results, and the fade-resistant inks used are designed to maintain brilliance for decades — up to 100+ years under proper display conditions.

This approach allows the artwork to retain its depth, detail, and presence while offering a durable, ready-to-hang piece meant to live with you long-term — not mass-produced décor meant to be replaced.

Fine Art Framed Prints

Select pieces are also available as framed fine art paper prints. These are produced using professional giclée printing on thick, archival-quality fine art paper that is acid-free and designed for long-term preservation. The paper’s smooth matte surface supports crisp detail, balanced contrast, and accurate color reproduction.

Each fine art print is framed using solid wood frames with optical-grade clear acrylic, paired with a clean white 4-ply matboard featuring a beveled edge. Prints are backed with a sealed dust cover and arrive fully assembled with hanging wire installed, offering a polished, gallery-style presentation built to last for generations.

CAN I REQUEST EDITS OR CHANGES TO EXISTING ARTWORK?

We do not currently offer custom portraits or commissioned artwork. Our collections are thoughtfully curated and released as finished works, rather than created on a made-to-order or commission basis.

If this changes in the future, announcements will be shared through our website and social channels.

CAN I ADD TEXT OR NAMES TO THE ARTWORK?

No. We do not add text, names, dates, or personalized elements to our artwork. Each piece is offered exactly as designed to preserve its original intent and visual balance.

DO YOU OFFER CUSTOM SIZES?

No. Artwork is produced in the orientations and dimensions shown on the product page. Cropping or changing the orientation of an image may alter the integrity and composition of the piece, so we’re unable to accommodate these requests.

We recommend reviewing the available sizes and formats listed on each product page to ensure the piece is the right fit for your space.

Orders are generally processed within 2–4 business days. Processing time includes printing, quality checks, and packaging before shipment. Business days do not include weekends or holidays.

All Crowned Roots Collective canvases are made to order and printed, assembled, and packaged specifically for each purchase. After processing is complete, orders typically arrive within 2–5 business days, depending on your location and the shipping carrier. The estimated total timeframe from order placement to delivery is approximately 5–9 business days.

Please note:

  • Shipping timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
  • Delays caused by carriers, weather, peak seasons, or other circumstances beyond our control may occur.
  • Holiday periods (mid-November through mid-January) may add 2–3 additional business days to production time and additional 2-3 business days to the delivery timeline.

CAN I CHANGE THE SHIPPING ADDRESS?

Customers are responsible for entering a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.

  • If you need to update your address before tracking is issued, please contact us immediately. We will do our best to update it before shipment.
  • Once a tracking number has been issued, the order has shipped and address changes must be handled directly with the shipping carrier.

Crowned Roots Collective is not responsible for delays, delivery issues, or losses resulting from incorrect or incomplete addresses provided by the customer.

WHAT IF MY ORDER ARRIVES DAMAGED?

If your canvas arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect, you must contact us within 30 days of delivery by emailing support@crownedrootscollective.com.

To file a claim and qualify for a replacement or refund, the following photos are required:

  • Clear photos of the damaged canvas in natural lighting. Please remove all packaging, as you will not be required to ship anything back.
  • Clear photos of the original packaging, including the box and any visible damage

Packaging photos are required in order to file a claim with the shipping carrier. Claims submitted without packaging photos may be denied.

Once verified, we will issue a free replacement or full refund, at your discretion.

WHAT IF MY ORDER IS LOST OR DELAYED?

If a package is delayed or appears lost in transit, please allow the carrier adequate time to deliver (10 business from the day it was shipped).

If the carrier confirms the package is lost and the correct address was provided, we will assist with a replacement in accordance with our policy.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY ORDER?

Changes or cancellation to an order can be made within 24 hours of purchase.

After this window, orders move into production and can no longer be modified or canceled.

We recommend reviewing all details carefully before completing your order to ensure everything is exactly how you want it.

WHAT IF I RECEIVE THE WRONG CANVAS?

If you receive the incorrect canvas, don’t worry — we’ll replace it at no cost to you.

To get this resolved quickly, please email us with:

  • A clear photo of the canvas you received (in natural lighting)
  • A photo of the shipping label on the package
  • Your order number
  • Your full name
  • A brief description of the issue

Once we receive your email, you’ll get a confirmation within 24 hours letting you know the correct canvas is being processed.

Replacement orders follow the same production and shipping timeline as the original order, since each piece is made to order.

SHIPPING NOTIFICATION AND TRACKING

Once your order ships, a tracking number is automatically emailed to the address provided at checkout. You can also view real-time tracking updates by logging into your customer account at any time.

If you have not received a tracking number within the processing timeframe listed above, please contact us at support@crownedrootscollective.com, and we’ll be happy to assist.

Once an order has shipped, responsibility for delivery transfers to the shipping carrier.

After shipment:

  • Delivery updates, rerouting requests, or rescheduling must be handled directly with the carrier using the provided tracking information.
  • Reaching out to the carrier directly is often the fastest way to resolve delivery issues. If you’re unable to reach a resolution, please contact us and we’ll review the situation to determine next steps

WHAT CARRIERS DO YOU USE?

Orders are shipped through FedEx or USPS.

DO YOU SHIP TO P.O. BOXES?

We strongly recommend shipping to a physical street address whenever possible. Due to carrier limitations, PO Boxes are not ideal for large or framed artwork.

Most of our canvases exceed USPS size restrictions, and FedEx does not deliver to PO Boxes. As a result, orders shipped to PO Boxes may experience delays, be rejected by the carrier, or be returned as undeliverable.

If a PO Box is the only available delivery option, customers should be aware that delivery is not guaranteed, tracking visibility may be limited, and additional shipping or reshipment costs may apply if the package is rejected or returned.

WHERE DOES MY ORDER SHIP FROM?

All Crowned Roots Collective artwork is produced and shipped within the United States. Each piece is carefully created and shipped domestically to ensure quality, consistency, and reliable delivery.

At this time, Crowned Roots Collective ships within the contiguous United States. We will ship to Alaska and Hawaii, but you will need to reach out to us first to receive a custom shipping quote as shipping will not be free and a manual invoice will be sent to you.

WHAT IF MY ORDER WAS DELIVERED TO THE WRONG ADDRESS?

When an order is placed, we ship to the exact address entered at checkout. Customers are responsible for ensuring their shipping address is accurate and complete at the time of purchase.

Address updates may be requested within 24 hours of placing an order, before production or shipping begins. Once an order has shipped, responsibility for delivery and any address changes transfers to the customer, and updates must be handled directly with the carrier.

If an order is delivered to the address provided at checkout, it is considered successfully fulfilled. We will not replace or refund orders delivered to an incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.

If you notice an address error shortly after placing your order, please contact us immediately. While we’ll do our best to assist, address changes are not guaranteed and depend on the order’s production and shipping status.

Exception:

If our review shows that a delivery issue occurred due to a carrier error—such as misdelivery despite a correct address—we will gladly open an investigation with the carrier. If the issue is confirmed, we will offer a replacement at no additional cost.

TRACKING SAYS "DELIVERED" BUT I DONT SEE IT

If your tracking information shows that your order was marked as delivered, but you’re unable to locate it, we recommend first checking with neighbors, building management, or anyone else who may have accepted the package on your behalf.

Once a package is marked as delivered by the carrier, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the recipient. However, we understand these situations can be frustrating. If you believe your package may be missing, please contact us within 48 hours of the delivery confirmation, and we’ll do our best to assist with next steps, including guiding you through a carrier inquiry when applicable.

WHAT IF MY PACKAGE IS STOLEN AFTER DELIVERY?

Unfortunately, we are unable to replace or refund orders that are confirmed as delivered but later stolen. Once a carrier marks a package as delivered, it is considered successfully fulfilled.

For this reason, we strongly recommend shipping to a secure location and monitoring tracking notifications closely. If theft is a concern in your area, you may wish to have your order delivered to a workplace, secured building, or location where someone can receive it in person.
