Nobody bought a ticket, the refreshments are questionable, and at least one child was supposed to be asleep an hour ago. Still, Front Room Session has the best music in town because everybody came carrying something the family needed.

Before entertainment required a stage, it lived in front rooms, on porches, and between people who knew every verse. Music preserved memory, softened difficult weeks, and gave ordinary evenings somewhere joyful to go. What they are making together will outlive the night.
