Everybody wants an immediate answer, preferably delivered with confidence and before they finish asking the question. In Quiet Contemplation has declined the rush. Some decisions deserve more than a hurried response and somebody else’s convenient deadline.

Quiet creates enough distance to separate what we truly want from what we have been taught to choose. Reflection is not avoidance when it leads us back to ourselves. Sometimes the most important progress happens while nothing appears to be moving.
